We invite you to leave Estoril and experience the beautiful, special and unique landscapes of RIBATEJO and ALENTEJO!
After leaving Estoril, we will drive you to the first stop of our tour: Benavente.
Here you will visit tomato fields a well known important factory of this region. After this visit we will continue on a beautiful sightseeing tour through the countryside roads.
Already in the Alentejo, we find Évora, city of an unquestionable beauty. This city has a lot to offer, not only historically and culturally, but also in gastronomy.
You will stay at the magnificent and luxury hotel Convento do Espinheiro Resort. The original building dating from the XV century is considered national patrimony and its roots goes back to a legend that speaks about an apparition of the Virgin Maria on an Espinheiro bush around the year 1400.
During the D. Afonso V reign and due to the growing of importance of this place as a point of peregrination, the church was founded and then turned into a convent. In 2005 became a Luxury 5 star hotel with a calm and peaceful atmosphere immersed in history.
Dinner will be served at Convento do Espinheiro in a very typical way called as “Arraial”. This will be an open-air popular festival were you will have the opportunity to taste some of the traditional and typical Portuguese Food.

2nd day: June 24, 2010

On the second day we will start to explore the beauty of Évora, the capital of the province of Alentejo, classified by UNESCO as world heritage since 1986.
We will visit the majestic structures around the city, walk along the streets and visit some of the most important monuments that make this city so interesting.
After an enjoyable morning, it will be time to leave Évora behind and take the direction of Águas de Moura were we will visit a second well known and important factory of this region.
After the visit you will be invited to lunch. Return to Estoril after lunch.
End of the tour.

Departure on the 23rd of June from the Palácio Estoril Hotel at 15:00.
Return on the 24th of June to the same Hotel
